It was sunny and bright at the
ocean today, almost a first since we’ve been visiting Bean Hollow! You could
actually see the deep blue of the ocean as a stunning backdrop for the
wildflowers growing there.
Iceplant, sea daisies, parsnip, sea buckwheat....all kinds of funny names for the flowers and leaves that cluster along the ocean cliffs. I know that iceplant
is an invasive species, and it doesn’t belong at the ocean, but the colors are
so vibrant. Even the leaves glow in the sun!
I just so happen to have a ball of silver shimmer yarn from Rowan that fits the bill! I am hoping that the silver edging will give the effect of the foaming edges of an ocean wave
